From the Page to the Stage
We are a group of established writers in the Canterbury area, made homeless by the first Covid lockdown. We meet regularly, mainly on Zoom, and occasionally at The Dolphin pub, to share, read, critique, craft and improve each others' work.
We have backgrounds in journalism and marketing, short stories and novels, but our main focus is on playwriting.
The Daylight Robbery Writers’ Company has a solid track record for having work commissioned and accepted. We have had successes with The Bitterpill Theatre, London Playwrights, Barons Court Theatre and The Royal Shakespeare Company’s 37 Plays Project and many others.We are also reaching international audiences with one of our plays performed in Ontario, Canada.

Things We Didn't Know
Our third annual showcase will be on May 31st at The Arden Theatre, Faversham. Each of our writers takes their own original take on the theme of Things We Didn't Know. And it turns out there are all sorts of things we didn't know. Moving, provocative, hilarious and disturbing - the plays run the gamut of human experience. Come and join us - you might learn something!
