From the Page to the Stage
We are a group of established writers in the Canterbury area, made homeless by the first Covid lockdown. We meet regularly, mainly on Zoom, and occasionally at The Dolphin pub, to share, read, critique, craft and improve each others' work.
We have backgrounds in journalism and marketing, short stories and novels, but our main focus is on playwriting.
The Daylight Robbery Writers’ Company has a solid track record for having work commissioned and accepted. Our plays have been performed at many different venues including The Arden Theatre, Faversham, The Barons Court Theatre, London, The INK Festival, Suffolk and The Garlinge Theatre in Canterbury to mention just a few. We are also reaching international audiences with one of our plays performed in Ontario, Canada.

We are looking to expand our scope and work with local actors, producers, directors and stage technicians to get our work off the page and onto the stage and to generate opportunities for everyone.
